Time travel, immortality, romance, polyamorous relationships, and mysterious eternals, are what make up this incredible story Eris Brue is a computer genius who loves comic books, LARP live action role playing and renaissance faires Lucien Riordan and Ranulf Styr have amassed quite the collection of comic books and happen to be the owners of an annual renaissance faire They are also immortals from the thirteenth century searching for the one woman they both fell in love with all those centuries ago Before Eris is able to fully explore their blossoming relationship, she is thrust into a different time a medieval one Emotions run high in both the past and the present as Eris learns of what the men have been hiding from her Meanwhile the men are left with the guilt of past mistakes and struggle to believe that she will forgive them The author beautifully puts together what could have been two completely separate stories set in two different time periods The descriptions of both character and setting were believable as well as the emotions I cried, laughed, had moments of incredible frustration, but in the end fell in love The story does get a little confusing as we try to understand the complexity of the role of an eternal I am still not quite sure that I understand, but the concept sounds promising In the end, Eris reveals her own secret and I couldn t be happier for all of them I also can t help but hope to see of these characters in the next story. In the About The Author note after the story, D Renee Bagby mentions that her favorite pastime is, torturing her characters on their way to happily ever after for the enjoyment of her readers I absolutely couldn t agree This is a must read for anyone who likes time travel romance because the next torture session installment in this series is definitely not one to be missed. Also posted Happily Ever After Reviews

voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from the author Oh My God This is everything I love and MORE When I first read the blurb, I knew I was going to enjoy it because of the poly aspect and time traveling romance Who doesn t love seeing couples fall in love twice The story was also a LOT gave me a lot to read, to love, to fawn over and be invested in til the very end I loved Eris and how confident and adorable she was Learning about her family and their own perks were just as great, fulfilling my urban fantasy Another great thing was how it started, and how every time something happened, it gave me even to think about and solve on my own It was full of surprises and I totally cried than once reading this I liked the writing style, I liked the drama and the plot I loved all of it Hell, I bought the thing, it was so good Who needs book budgets, right Definite recommend you MUST check out.

As it turned out, weird worked for her D Rene Bagby, or simply Rene to her friends, is an Air Force brat turned Air Force wife Born in the Netherlands, she has traveled all of her life and called many places home Japan and in several states of the US, including Virginia, Florida, North Carolina, Texas, California, Maryland and Hawaii She s an avid world builder who loves torturing her characters on their paths toward happily ever after When not concocting new ways to give her characters a hard time, she enjoys crocheting, reading shoujo manga, watching anime and Asian dramas, or bingeing a series on Netflix.Rene also uses the nom de plume Zenobia Renquist and under that name she has written many successful book on erotica.Rene enters the realm of time travel very successfully not an easy task and makes it both off the wall and sensually tender that she takes us with her on every page This book was first published in 2010 and this is the second edition She opens her book in the year 2009 and he casual way she opens her story makes us want to stay with her to the end Ranulf stared at the spacious, climate controlled room in a thoughtful manner Beside him, Lucien looked through the contents of a nearby box We need to stop putting this off, Ranulf said Every year we say we ll get our collection surveyed, and every year we find an excuse to avoid it Why do you want strangers tromping through our home Where does this whim come from I ve forgotten what we own Ranulf gestured to the boxes And can you find anything in this crush I never get past the first ten boxes before I give up Lucien closed the box near him and straightened He looked around the room then at Ranulf Fine I m glad you agree I called the company, and they are sending a representative tomorrow morning to give us a time estimate and price Why did you even bother asking me I like you to feel you have some say in the decision making Ranulf threw his arm around Lucien s shoulders They walked like that back to the main house You ll be meeting with whoever is sent, right Lucien asked, shrugging off Ranulf s arm as they entered their shared office You know I will I know how much you hate meeting new people All we ever do is meet new people It s annoying The price of eternity We can t make long lasting friendships unless we plan to share with them what we are and why we are that way And then watch them age and die So the setup is established and we can move not the story.According to the synopsis Only time knows if they are meant to be together Immortals Lucien and Ranulf have survived to see the modern era to be with the woman they both love once Equally anticipating and dreading the reunion, they ve vowed to let her decide which of them she wants to be with But are they prepared to let one woman end a friendship that has lasted centuries Eris has just started her dream assignment She s not looking for an office romance, but her new bosses aren t making it easy for her to avoid it And right when she gives in to their joint seduction, she ends up tossed back in time to the medieval era where the men she loves have no clue who she is What s worse, they think she s the enemy The Lucien and Ranulf of the past are rough and dangerous Eris is doing everything she can to survive them while searching for a way back to her time But returning home means confronting an undeniable truth, one that could end their relationship forever It s up to her to decide if her heart is strong enough to handle the love of two men and the reality of their enchanted existence Strange doings and very entertaining reading Leave reality behind and step into Rene s mesmerizing world

This book was recommended to me by reading buddy My first book by this author Its a paranormal story Its a story to two men who love the same woman Whilst I enjoyed the characters in the story, I thought the author drag the story out and made the book way too long For the actual content of the story the book could have much shorter Due to this fact it too me a while to finish the book.

Eris Brue s parent s sense of humor in naming her after the goddess of Chaos hasn t been lost on her Prior to starting her most recently job cataloging the collection of two insanely rich, reclusive clients, she lost her cell phone, her car died, the tow truck driver had an attitude and the directions she was given by her coworker were completely wrong, thus assuring she arrived late aturally, she s anything but shocked when she finally arrives and discovered that same coworker has once again given the guard at the gated entrance the wrong name and she finds herself being escorted in like a suspect And of course, that same coworker has grossly underestimated the length of time it would take to complete the job When she meets her new clients, she tells them as much But unlike most people when their told the job will take significantly longer and cost way than they were quoted, they don t get upset Fact is, it barely moves them.but she does Anyone meeting Ranulf Styr and Lucien Riordan for the first time, assume from their closeness that they re gay But nothing could be further from the truth They love women Or specifically, they both love one woman and have been awaiting her return for centuries But when she walks through their door, completely unaware of who they are and specifically who they are to her, the battle to claim her versus allowing time to play out on its own begins Centuries earlier, Eris dropped into their lives claiming to be from their future Problem was, her story was not only unbelievable, it s impossible But in the here and now, they have to do what s necessary to claim her love.individually and together Eris by D Renee Bagby, the first in her Eternal Truth Series is a perfectly plotted, deliciously complex story that delves deeply into how far a person will go for forgiveness, reconciliation and above all, love Ms Bagby smoothly melds together the past with the present while slickly adding in an element of mythology in such a way that s guaranteed to keep readers on the edge of their seats flipping pages.Like Everything Its complexity builds from one scene to the next and by the time you ve reached the last two or three chapters you re a slave to every word on the page.Dislike Uhhh..I m sure there was something I disliked Nope, nothing comes to mind Oh wait I only have this book in eBook format I ve got to get a print version of it to run my fingers over and caress lovingly.Favorite Scene Like potato chips, I can t pick just one.

This was a strange read for me Not necessarily in a bad way, of a weird contradictory, paradoxical way at times Ok, I will try to explain myself. The story ebbed and flowed for me, the beginning started out really slow, interesting but slow I liked the career choice of the heroine and the secondary characters, but there was so much detail and info about what they did and how, it got a bit tedious The male leads, on the one hand I like them and found them a nice blend, on the other hand, at times it was hard to tell them apart They were not as distinct as I d like them I found the concept interesting, but it s delivery was a bit rushed and I was left with a TON of questions, including a WTH ending that I found was a bit too convenient.Overall, I found the pacing off, too slow in the beginning, too erratic in the middle, and too quick at the end I don t fully understand some of the roles the characters are in, but since this is book 1, I can give the author a little leeway with this Another confusing thing for me was the heat level Based on the type of book this is menage love affair I found the heat level fairly tame I never would have thought would could tackle this type of a relationship with such a low heat level Hence, this is on the spicy shelf due to subjects tackled , but not on my steamy shelf Now, there are some sex scenes in it and they are well done, just not as hot as I d expect them to be I also had a bit of trouble buying into the characters romance, but I don t think the author is really focusing on the romance vs the overall story she is telling Again, I was ok with that, she did spend some time building up her relationship with each hero and then their joint relationship But it was a bit rushed in spots, but it eventually dawned on me that maybe the romance is not the main focus of this story I was ok with that oddly because it was in keeping with a spicy UF verses a spicy paranormal. So, in spite of all the little negatives, I was still engrossed in the story and read it non stop until I d finished And yes, the ending was a bit quick and convenient, I still found myself wanting to know about the leads and what was next for them So yes, I will read book 2 in this series.

Reviewer EmmaraeThere is no way I can write a review to do this book justice You just have to start reading Just start it trust me, you won t be able to stop Every time I thought I d get to a stopping point , the author teases you and you have to keep reading Or you keep thinking about it and wondering what the character was talking about or what they were going to do next I had to snap at a lot of people several times when they tried to interrupt my reading of this one.I ve definitely got some favorite quotes, but they d give away the story I don t want to give anything away because the fun is in discovering the next piece to the puzzle All I read was time travel and I wanted to read it I had no idea I was about to get sucked into this fantastic world with fabulous characterizations and such an engrossing storyline Hints of trouble in the future make you almost afraid to know what s going to happen, but you keep reading Your heart breaks with the guys in love with the same woman for centuries and trying to maintain a friendship till they see her again You get angry at the guys at the same time and want to shake some sense into them You want to warn Eris, or you want her to figure things out and avoid trials, but the characters all have their own journeys I loved all the supporting characters and little sidelines woven into the story to make everything alive There is nothing one dimensional or wooden in this story This is not a simple romance or an erotic ten page jaunt into a book with 90% steamy sex Oh, the sex is definitely there and the chemistry pops between them from the beginning Even if you don t like erotica, the book is worth the read and you can just skip a few pages here and there There are plenty of twists and turns and I was thrilled with the ending I m sure you will be, too Go buy a copy, settle in, and prepare to be hooked.
