Lots of pictures Really not much else to say about it, but I like pictures and where else can you see some of these old movie stills other than in books like this Not all of them are on the internet

It s not so much a book as a scrapbook of pictures with Lillian s explanations of who and what you re looking at but what an amazing story can be conveyed in a few sly lines Especially wonderful are the bits from their earliest years of theatrical barnstorming including the show where little Dorothy was thrown every performance in a cage with a live lion so the hero could rescue her Ah, how the times, they have changed The Gish sisters encountered all the greats of early Hollywood and built careers barely glimpsed today, due the the large loss of their early work to deprivations of time.

Some great, rare pictures of Lillian and Dorothy Gish that would have otherwise been lost has Lillian not published them here It wonderfully tells the lives of these sisters almost totally in pictures, and seeing them as you read Lillian s own words makes falling in love with them simply irresistible.

A very useful resource on the careers of the Gish sisters Only real caveat is the less than optimal reproduction of images.
